She like mayor vasquez has alot on her mind. we are wtaching closelyon their actions regading three projects that need their immediate attention:

Casa Grande
Muriel Estates
Selac Senior housing

These projects need to be canceled and the recall hangs on what happens with these projects. we are surprised that the casa grande project is not on the agenda ready for cancellation. Why isn't mauriel states out for an rfp to get this prject of the city books. why is selac property still owned by the city and the city still paying when the city has a chance to get rid of the property and recapture some of the city money. For the DA and the FBI theses projects are enough for some council to be brought in for questioning.

why would the recall be based on these projects? the da and fbi would not go after council but would go after former employees and current staff. your facts are not in order. count the number of years these projects have been on the books..check to see who voted in favor of these projects..stop putting out negatives that are untrue against certain councilmembers to push your negative agenda.

To the above comment, we do not know too much of what is behind the recall but after reviewing these projects, casas grande, muriel, and selac the action taken by vasquez and santillan on these project will say alot of what they stand for. The Casa Grande project is a give away and was a project that was pushed ny pedroza, rodriquez and santillan. We think santillan knows better now and will no longer support a bad project. Vasquez voted no on it because she saw that it was a bad deal. she now has a chance to correct. The muriel project and selac projct were done before vasquez was in office and were both Paul Richards projects. vasques has a chance as mayor to correct these. forget about past and current staff, staff does not vote and council does not care what staff says anyway only when it is convenient. The fact is staff gave the council a way out of muriel and selac but council did not take action and is stalling to seemingly give the projects back to arnold and the reverends who control both projects. staff did not give a recommendation on casa grande because the environmental was ignored and the deal was not the best deal for the city. Quit being blind there are no negatives here just facts, wake up.

Watchourcity.com TOLD US ABOUT THIS CROOK. Why didn't the D.A. do a press release on this arrest?
Why the apparent cover-up?

Why are the H.P. city officials keeping it a secret?

Jorge Morales Almada

Who cares about huntington park, I agree with comment of Jan 17 10:39 pm. This comment has a lot of merit regarding those projects, muriel, selac and casa grande. We have been wathcing and we can't wait for the outcome of the muriel estates project, we hear that Alfreddie Johnson is trying his hardest to go against council and give this project back to the developer Le Francis Arnold that ripped off the city because this developer helped him in his campaign.

Anonymous said...

Don't assume. Alfreddie is making sure Arnold pays back every single dollar he received for the project. I think that is what the rest of the council should have done. Instead of just dragging the project out and holding it up in court. Just like he is going to make sure Arnold does not get SELAC back. Let's be supportive of Alfreddie as long as he is doing the right thing. Don't judge him for being Leticia's friend. He now sees her true colors.

The only one causing problems is Leticia. She wants to say the developers are dirty when it's really her. If you don't pay her, she doesn't like the project. Has anyone ever tried asking her what it would take for her to support a project. She won't give you a real explanation. She simply doesn't have one. She tries to invent one, and even when it is addressed she continues to disapprove. When someone has a problem they state their problem. That way the developer can come back with the problem solved. But even when they do she makes up another excuse. Her real reason is because she wants her friends to get the projects. It's okay for her friends to do business here. What's not okay is for her friends to want to muscle in on what other people have worked hard for. they can come with their own ideas and seperate sites to do their projects.

keep your eyes on pedroza, aide, alfreddie, leticia see what they do on feb 7, meeting!!

Anonymous said...

I can tell you what they will be doing. They will be presenting an offer to council to have Arnold pay back the $436,000 he was given and he needs to complete the project ASAP. What is the problem? All the projects need to have this process done to them. Aide has been meeting with everyone to try and solve all the redevelopement projects that are costing us thousands of dollars by being stalled. If they are bad projects they need to be canceled, not dragged along. We loose money and legal fees plus all the money we would receive in property taxes.

They may want to get the money back from arnold but I bet the also want to sell the prperty to arnold for less than what iti s worth. This is going to be another giveaway just like the casa grnade project. Lets see how leticia and maria vote on this one. Fernando will vote along with this scheme becaus he will do anything to protect the casa grande project. Alfreddie we know how he is going to vote. For petes sake this le francis arnold guy ripped the city off what more do you need to know, are we all just plain stupid.

Anonymous said...

Yes you are stupid. The responsobility of the council is to make sure they get their money back for the city. The land price was already decided in 1999 and was part of the agreement. The contract was already approved. So the original sale amount remains at $210,000. All the council is doing is holding Mr. Arnold accountable to complete the project and to return the money. This is not a new contract, remember that people. These contracters need to understand that if they start a project they will complete it and comply with the contracts.

The last response has to be from Aide who does not a hole from her behind. The Developer was already in breach of the DDA and the council elected 4 to 1 to terminate the contract and allow Lefrancis to walk away dispite him rippimg off the city for over $400,000 on a vote of 4 to 1 and opted to accept an offer for 760,000 for the sale and completion of the project from another developer. The property is worth at a minimum $700,000. Aide you sell out. Leticia, we are watching RACALL, RACALL, What about the court date on Monday Feb. 6. 2006 we hear that Ron Wilson and Beltran are going to stall or ask for a delay to allow to the council to rethink and give the project back to lefrancis arnold who already stole from the city.

Anonymous said...

No it's not Aide. But I am a supporter of hers. He was only in breach because staff was holding up the project. Louis Morales never gave him the title to the property wich in turn made it difficult for him to move forward or receive any financing from a bank. As you all know you need to have title to a property to receive financing. You just pointed out how the council was actually allowing him to walk away with out paying back the money. The only No vote came from Maria Santillan. Maria was the only one who actually was looking to recoup the money for the city. Le francis was a ble to prove the many road blocks he received from staff. All of the developers have similar problems where the necessary paperwork was not done. Plain and simple it was Louis Morales job to make sure these projects were completed and done right. If Lefrancis is willing to pay back the money he was given and complete the project I am all for it. You also need to thank Maria for understanding that we needed to get the city money back.

Another knucklehead to the above comment. Lefrancis didn't need to get a bank loan the city was funding the entire project. He probably went to the bank to borrow against the property for other reasons the same way he used the City money for other reasons other than the project. Maybe he was going to borrow money to pay back the money he stole from the city to begin with. It is a good thing that the property was not transfered to Lefrancis as we all know (or atleast some of you) that possession is 9/10th of the law. Had it been transfered to lefrancis arnold, the City would have had to fight to get the land back and with a lien on the property by some bank. This would have been as bad as the selac project. Think people before you submit comments.

Wrong again. The property does need to be conveyed. The city was not financing the complete project. How would you like to purchase a property, invest money in it, then find out you never received title of the property. Is real estate your expertise. I'm sure it's not. You were right about one thing and that's the possesion part. The funny part is that your comment confirms what I am saying. With out possesion he had no guarentee. Face it Louis Morales srewed many people. Denial is not an option. He needs to be prosecuted. Morales did similar stupidities on almost every project. We are now all paying the consequences with legal fees and stalled projects. To make it even worse we don't have council members that can really understand redevelopement.

To the comment that used the word knucklehead. The only one that ever remember using that word is Armando Rea. If it's Armando , I would like to know what were you ever able to do on the council. The only time you had support from the council is when you became corrupt. You know nothing but hate and envy. If it's not Armando, what would you do. Let him walk away with out paying us back the mopney he received and not complete the project. You prefer that we drag this out in litigation for another couple of years? I see a solution. Simple as that. To the above comment I agree that council is not very experienced with redevelopement. Do they receive any training in that area?

To the Feb. 7th 9:47 am comment, you dunderhead, we read the DDA the project was 100% funded by the city including the Developer profit and overhead which the the developer received. We are glad that the land was not transfered and the city secured some of its interest. This muriel project is going to be a gift that keeps on giving. You supporters are crooks.
