The state is in financial crisis left over by Enron, Edison and our recalled governor Gray Davis.
There are real employment, health and educational issues that need to be addresses by the legislature.
And Nunez and De La Torre are worried about some stupid badges?
Where is the harm in flashing a badge? Did the people that have them used it to commit a crime?
Is anybody getting special dispensation or free food at state run establishmnts?
Mr. De La Torre and Mr. Nunez need to concentrate on more important matters that the badge issue.
Real criminal commit crimes without police uniforms and without badges.

If anyone needs an official looking badge, they can get one at any uniform store. (Like the ones security guards use) Or go to Ebay and type "police badge" and you can pick one up for cheap.

I know for a fact Hector de la Torre is racist. When the riots ocurred in Los Angeles, the racist South Gate cops blocked off the Firestone and Tweedy entrance to city.
De La Torre and Henry Gonzalez ordered their police to "keep the niggers" out their city.

I used to work for the City of South Gate.
You are wrong; back in 1992, during the riots, Hector de la Torre was not involved in South Gate. He was elected to office years later. Hector, is a good person, Leticia don't blame Hector for your shortcomings.
Mr. Assemblyman Dymally should be ashame of him self been that old and using the race card to try avoid reponsibility is a childish attitud.
Any one that is impersonating a state official, a police officer or any other Lawfull Official is commiting a crime.
Remeber Sheriff Colona from Orange County he was doing the same thing, issuing badges to his contributors and friends?

No creo que la gente de Dymaly hayan cometido ningun otro crimen aparte de "apantallar" a tarugos como los que critican a Dymally y defienden al corrupto de Nunez y al hipocrita de hector de la torre.
Ademas, no es sufficiente de acuerdo a la ley, con sacar la placa. Un official tiene la obligacion de indentificarse con su credencial.
Como ciudadanos tenemos el derecho de cuestionar a cualquier persona que nos muestre una placa policial para asegurarnos que la persona pertenezca a cualquier agencia de seguridad publica.
A los que le dan demasiada importancia a la placa, yo en lo personal, en cuanto veo la PISTOLOTA al lado del supuesto oficial, me convenzo que es la autoridad y punto.
Porque el te traiga "cuete" manda, con placa o sin placa.
Ademas, como Mexicano, la unica vez que yo he experimentado el "abuso" y el mal uso de "la placa" es de la misma policia o de los sheriffs.
Ellos son los que mas abusan del poder de la placa, en mi caso lo han hecho sin impunidad.

CITY COMMISSIONERS SHOULDN'T GET BADGES. A BADGE IS SOMETHING THAT GETS TO YOUR HEAD AND THEN PEOPLE LIKE GOMEZ GO AROUND FLASHING IT AT EVERY CHANCE HE HAS.
BADGES SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM ALL COMMISSIONERS. PERIOD.
The badges that commissioners have are not like the ones shown on the picture. They are name badges that go pinned on your clothes. It has a small city of Lynwood emblem and the commission you serve along with your name.

The City Manager is part of the entire problem. The City Manager is the elf disguised as Santa Claus. Look at how much of our tax paying dollars he has given away by creating more positions and paying out more money. Our City looks the same or worse since he came in but at a higher cost.
I thought t the city manager was an elf!!!!He's constantly elfing the employees.And he's really elfing the residents. I think the elf and the city attorney got a thang going on. They're always eyeballing each other. I could see the city manager getting horsie back rides from the attorney.Can you figure this clue out?
The City Manager is a piece of shit and is strongly supported by Maria Santillan and Ramon Rodriquez. So, keep this in consideration when the next election comes around.
Forget about pointing the finger and let's solve some the problems of Lynwood. Poor business judgements, incomplete projects, filthy streets, crime, gangs, murders and lack of jobs. Let's get serious about our investment. Until people put their efforts where their mouths are nothing will change in Lynwood.
