(meadow park) (circle Parks) (casa grande Project) (hotel project corner long beach imperial) (new parking lot plaza mexico)(el farallon) (spring project long beach and 105 freeway)...How much time do you have 'cause I can go on all day?

Reading these blogs is very frustrating to me. I am stuck here like ther rest of you... 40 years so far for me. We should all be asking "what can I do to help?" Listing to all the bitching isn't helping me one little bit.
I have issues about this city of my own. I'm less than 2 blocks south of the 105 near the Ham Park Replacement Project. The Noise from the freeway on this side is unreal! The other side has a sound wall, why not ours? Where do I go for answers? To the people you say are too corrupt to help?? GREAT!
I have asked around city hall and have never had so much smoke blown up my ass in my life.

The soundwall off the freeway, well that's Caltrans (State Dept of Transportation), don't blame that one on the City.

This NFL stadium is nothing more than smoke and mirrors.
The developer wants to build an american style shopping mall with condominiums, apartments and homes for sale.
Bringing in more traffic, crime and undesireables into our city.
Only problem is, his budget only allows for sharing that money with the our city council, alex landeros and a few other "community leaders" who would prostitute their own mother if they could make a fast big buck.
Even though people like naive Aide believe that the homwowners will get "Fair Market Value", the reality is and has been that developers traditionally "rape" the homeowners.
Yeah Aide, I know what the law says, but laws need to be enforced and litigated. This is not a perfect world.
Look at our own elected officials, they took an oath of office. How many times have they broken the law already?
Recall, recall, recall, is the only solution!
Why is it that everyone is talking only about Aide. All the meetings I have attended have also included Ramon Rodriguez and his wife along with Jose Luis Solache And Maria Santillan. Why is everyone so afraid of Aide? I would really like to know. What is it about her? Everytime someone says she doesn't know what she's talking about, we later find out she was right. How is she getting this information before the rest of us? Don't get me wrong people I doughted her at one time to. But she has really proven other wise. Even Fernando Pedroza fears her. Could it be their afraid she won't be manipulated? Could it be she found out about Fernando's dirty little secrets in Mexico? I don't know what it is, but she sure looks like she's on to something. Does anyone know?
The information that Aide shares, is information that a lot of people have but chose not to talk about. She doesn't know how to handle information that she receives. She is young and depends on the wrong people to enlighten her on subjects.She loves to hear hersef talk, so she talks a lot. She is pushy and uneducated and it shows when she opens her mouth. That "eagle and snake comment" was too tasteless.

You have to know where the comment came from. Joanette called Leticia and Rev snakes. Rev called Aide an eagle. He told her she was to good to hange out with the people she does (AKA the residents). His exact statement was you are an eagle hanging around with chickens. So she spinned it on him. And for people keeping information quiet is exactly why we have so many problems.
So again you envy her. Stop trying to make her look bad just because you wish you were in her shoes. She is what we need in a leader. Someone that can't be intimidated and is willing to fight for the community. She doesn't play the BS game of neutrality. You either are for the community or you're not.
This interview is a joke. From Solache, Santillan to the Rev. It it so obvious this is so preliminary. This is a joke and you can see it in their faces. That is why the video skips. Go on the cities web site. Read the agenda for Oct 3rd and Oct 17th. Once you've done that tell me the council didn't approve a one year ENA with a one year extension. Once you actually read maybe you will realize the one being fooled is you. Or is it you again Leticia? What ever happens on on Dec 11th will be do to the community standing up to the council. If the council changes their vote it will be because they are scared. They know they messed up. If we hadn't done what we did as a united community this project would be moving along undetected.
Leticia, STOP telling Lynwood Residetents the its "not" approved. Yes, look at the minutes and you guys can see it the city council approved a one year ENA to the developer. You might say that you have not signed it, but you guys sure voted for it. Anytime you guys vote on it during public session it becomes law. The signature is just a formality and unless you guys change your vote it stands as approved.

The HOME DEPOT CENTER is putting CARSON on the map! David Beckham - probably a billionaire by now will be playing there and Carson is loving it all the way to the bank! The problem with a recall election is - how many people in Lynwood in that area that care about this can actually sign the papers and vote?! That was always the worst area of the city anyway -- maybe Alfreddie and the gang can clean up that area and make some $$$ for the rest of the city. I bet the City Council will love their box seats at the NFL.
