Plaza Mexico Defies Lynwood by Placing Illegal Sign Advertising Beer

Lynwood, CA - A day after Plaza Mexico was questionably awarded the Long Beach Blvd project, it displays an illegal Tecate add on its giant illuminated sign along the I-105 Freeway, as if metaphorically cheering victory. Plaza Mexico has refused to put City of Lynwood on its sign.

I wonder if council is going to fine Plaza Mexico for this.Mr Chai thinks his above the law.and why not.his protected by three councils.

Council better fine him. I have a small business on Long Beach and I have not been fined, but the rest of my neighbors have. They have been fined for small signs that advertise their business. First we get a warning and then they give us 2 days and come back with a ticket.

How much is he going to pay for each day the sign is up?

One of Leticia's concerns with Kudler's billboards was advertising alcholoic beverages. What does she have to say now? Is it suddenly ok? How much did she put in her pocket for approving Plaza Mexico. This another slap in the face to Lynwood residents.

Just saw the sign, can't help but notice! It is huge! How long will it take council to order it down??

I just read the Lynwood Journal were Donald is playing stupid! Don't let him fool you. He is well aware of what he can or can not do. Or perhaps, he is ignorant. And if that's the case, that shows you that he should not have been the developer chosen for our new Downtown Lynwood. What a disgrace!

Leticia is against ANY Billboard that displays "adults busineses", alcohol, and/or tobacco. Unfortunaly, you don't seem to understand that she was not a Councilmember when the Plaza Mexico billboard contract was approved. Also, she did fight to regulate content for the Kudler billboard contract but the three amigos refused to make that a part of the contract. I encourage you to pull the contract and read it for yourself.

What you don't understand is that Plaza Mexico's bill board was approved for on-site advertising. Should I type it in Spanish, because you apparently don't understand either!

Why doesn't Leticia complain about that huge TECATE on that sign. How much has Donald promised her for her November candidate?

As a resident and a alcoholic,,,, I disagree with the billboard sign encouraging me to drink Tecate beer when entering or leaving the city of Lynwood. I should be encouraged to sober up!!!!!
Maybe "The Donald" should fire his marketing group and solicit "positive living" billboards to help heal our community.

Im sick and tired of people who dont think they have to play by the rules just because ________ ________ (you fill in the blanks). Council better fine them or I suggest a full investigation as to why they dont act. Perhaps a little under the table action once again is occurring?????
