Lynwood, CA - The Alameda Times reports that Budget Director Marianna Marysheva of Oakland resigned Monday to become assistant city manager in Lynwood.

Candidate Signs Posted Illegally

Lynwood, CA - As the campaign season continues, candidate signs are being placed in violation of the City's Municipal Code, many in the public right of way. The new law adopted by the City clearly states that signs may be erected for forty five (45) days prior to and ten (10) days following the election to which they relate. With the election being November 8, 2005, candidates can start puting up their signs until September 24, 2005. Candidates who put up their signs now, are in violation of the City's code.
