I hope you got your bonus from them. History always repeats itself. Remember that. You won, the community lost. I don't see how your conscience is clear. But God bless you. She swallowed a birdie. Your own words.

while on the topic of cutting jobs. do NOT forget Laura Aldoret. She is paid very well for a position that was made up just for her. She is rarely at work, and when her rude, unprofessional self is there you can only reach her by email (actually maybe by email). Now she even hired a second secretary, what for. Two secretaries getting paid who knows what? why not eliminate her position, save $80,000 a year on her salary and give other deserving employees who actually come in at 7am a raise. Stop rewarding someone who comes in late, avoids everybody hiding in her office and then leaves early. I am tired of being transferred to her staff when the receptionist gets tired of fowarding me to her voicemail. City manager should step out and see how well she works with others, I doubt he will have any luck.

What Ortiz & Santillan have in common or why they are such good buddies...

Both are old gordas
Both are bitter with life
Both have declared bankrupcy
Both have criminal records
Both are easy...everyone's had a turn

Anonymous said...

Santillan stop defending yourself or should I call you by your real name Marina Castaneda. Of course this was Silicone Santillans name before all the nip/tuck paid for by Lynwood taxpayers, before her new house paid by a corrupt vote she made to pay back the contactor that built her new house and before the bankrupcy. Marina does a good job of keeping people divided so we won't focus on her corruption. Lynwood watch out and do your own homework on this fraud of a woman.

That's the problem, idiots like you read something, don't understand what you read and then run with it. Do you really think I meant Debra is out there picking up trash. How stupid can one be.
As for Ramon Galindo, he is a great guy, he takes complaints, pass them on to the appropriate department and thats as far his job goes. Trust me it takes a lot more to run the quality of life department then that.

2:27 - You must be one of the fatties.

Anonymous said...

Laura Alderete was brought by the little man Enrique Martinez. Her position should be cut the City does not need her services at this time. The City could replace her with two Code Enforcement Officers which is where we need the help to clean up our City.

Tax cheat wasn't mentioned on the hit piece. Your just mad cause you don't have any power. You must look really stupid to your investors? You'll never get shit done on council thanks to me!!!!Poor baby. Maria and I are not alike in any way other than we don't trust you. We know the truth about you and soon will this whole community. So, keep talking shit or keep having your recluse bro do it for you,and your covers are going to be PULLED!!!!

Everything was legal. Not worried about a thing much less a convicted criminal like trying to destroy my good name. Just don''t forget all I know about you.

Morton being appointed to council was the right thing to do. Don't second guess yourselves. The council did right.

Anonymous said...

What and who are you people talking about?. Who are the convicted criminals? Who is the one with the tax fraud?, and who is knowing what about who?
Why don't you people let the rest of the citizens know if the people you talking about are on council. I think we have the right to know. So, do the honorable thing and speak up. Come out the closed, and believe me you do yourself and all of us a service. Or else shut up.

Anonymous said...

7:53 - Again, who and what are you talking about? Provoke who about what? Do you actually know who you talking to? Do you actually know what you are talking about, and most of all what is that nonesense telling someone to be careful?
Speak up, clearify yourself, so we all know, why you make idel threats?

The City needs to go back to the 5-day work week. We need the extra to take care of our business.

Anonymous said...

1:48 what's up with Whitaker?

The city should go back to 5 days I agree with that. Parking and code inforcement should work 24/7. To much is going on at nights and weekends. I'm suprised that we don't have some kind of epidemic in this city, with all the home cooked nasty looking food,(tamales, burritos, shaved ice and on and on) and sick and nasty looking people selling it out of shopping baskets. Soon or later someone will get very sick, if they haven't already.

Anonymous said...

Amen to 24/7 parking enforcement.

Anonymous said...

The Mayor needs to take the initiative and begin the transition in to the 5-day work week. The employees do not dictate the schedule because they like being off on Fridays, the needs of the residents come first. Mayor Santillan lets get moving on this issue and have the schedule changed by mid April 2008.

Anonymous said...

hey administrator,

are you going to let me respond to 3/11 -3:29 pm and give some info on Delania Whitaker? otherwise i will not waste my time, just so you can delete the comment and continue babysitting her. also i am glad you are helping debra out too and screening her comments. she does not deserve the bad mouthing

Anonymous said...

To the above idiot.

Are you asking to change the schedule so you can setup the fact that it is the residents that are asking for a 5 day work week. I don't doubt that this message is from Santillan's political camp.

Its been publicly known that Santillan has always favored the 5 day work week. Is it being setup because she is planning to propose it to the city of lynwood soon? You will see, that Santillan will say that alot of people have been asking her to do this.

As far as parking and code enforcment go, it has nothing to do with the entire city working a 5day work week. All the city needs to do is schedule certain employees from these departments to work on the weekends or at nights like they currently do moron!!!

I agree with the 5 day work week. The 5-day work week makes better sense for our community. I have a question on Directors. We see that there is an item on the agenda for Development Service and Recreation Directors. Are thre people already serving in this position or is the City going to recruit to ensure that we get qualified and experienced people in this position. The report in the agenda says that recruitment took place. We do not remember seeing the recruitment and if so who is recommended, can someone respond to this?

Anonymous said...

thanks for posting my comment,
3/11 3:09pm to answer your question, Delania Whitaker was hired a long time ago. She is no longer doing the same job duties, and when Media services changed and Alderete took over she was just shifted around. A waste of tax payer money considering that her main work duty is doing the Agendas. That does not take 40 hours a WEEK. That is why she has time to get lunch for her office buddies, walk the halls, socialize with other workers, and lets not forget send those retarted chain emails. She is just another secretary the city can get rid of, and SAVE MONEY, especially considering the so called shortage. Stop raising our taxes/fees and make the city run more efficiently. the proof is in the output of work.

Anonymous said...

To the 3:14 clown.

I have yet to see parking or code inforcement at night or weekends, nor can they be reached by phone. What part of the city you live in? Or are you one of the privileged ones receiving special services from the city. And if they work at night or weekends, they better get on the ball and get things done.

Anonymous said...

I feel that the city employees should return to a five day week schedule. After all, the tax payer works five days a week. The city emplyees work for the tax payer yet, they have three day weekends.City hall should be open to service the residents not the employees. Most people get a paycheck on Fridays. Maybe, so many residents would not be getting the water turned off if they could actually pay the bill when they get paid from work.(on fridays!)

Anonymous said...

9:50am i have not seen this other whitaker, is she related to parking enforcement whitaker. She probably is. Thats probably how she keeps her job. the city has a lot of old hires that are no longer needed. I think i know who you are talking about she wears glasses and is chubby. She is rude in my opinion. If we are talking of the same person I have passed her in the hallways of city hall itself and she does not even bother to smile. She visits finance a lot.

Anonymous said...

Do you mean the skinnie white lady code enforcement? I've seen her alot at finance department. I've also seen her blocking streets like a cop to give a citation. Who the hell does she think she is?

Anonymous said...

3/18 3:02pm. She is chubby and she does wear glasses. I agree she is rude. She represents the city managers office and yet acts like she works for herself by not being polite to others. You are probably the wrong sex (female). SHe smiles a lot for other men. If you get passed those buzzer doors, she sits in a small office across near asst. city manager. I wonder if asst city manager knows that someone sitting right next to her spends time sending useless emails, and pushing buttons on her cell phone. They should check her computer, or hell just look at her daily output. No wonder she is always in the city after hours, and on fridays. she has to find time to catch up.

If it were up to you, all city employees would be working 7 days a week. Its no wonder idiots like you are still around.

For your information, I have no special interest for the city. Its just that it upsets me to hear morons like you b!tch and whine about wanting to have the city of lynwood go back to a 5-day work week. Have you looked at what other cities are doing? Lynwood is not the only city that works a 4/10 work week.

Santillan is only doing it because she wants recognition for doing something for the city of lynwood. If she really wants to do something, let her know that she needs to cut the unnecessary positons created by the corrupt Enrique Martinez, Paul Richards, and Louis Byrd. If the city of lynwood really doesn't have any money, why doesn't she get rid of the lazy worthless employees that were brought in by these corrupt bastards!!!

You must belong to Santillan's political camp. Its very well known that she is the one that wants employees to go back to the 5 day workweek. I'm sure all these postings are only setting up the fact that she will bring it up at council meeting soon for the city to be on the 5 day work week.

Anonymous said...

the city could work seven days a week, and still be just as disfunctional as it is now. they need a shake up overall. Too many lazy employees, wasting tax money. A 4 day work week is what a lot of cities have and it does save in certain costs. if they move to 5 days, that just means some employees will have 5 days a week to waste on one hour plus lunches. 5 days a week to come in late. 5 days a week to waste tax money. pull the bad seeds/employees.

Anonymous said...

10:51 March 19

Ignorant, ignorant. What does it take, you moran, to figure out that it is neither here nor there. There is no financial impact, 4 days a week at 10 hours a day, or 5days a week at 8 hours a day. It's still 40 hours a week you stupid, stupid idiot.
Further more why would I care about what other cities are doing? I live in Lynwood and care less about other cities, and so should you. If you live here worry about what is going on in Lynwood.
Business does not stop thursdays anywhere.
And to the morron who wants to keep the doors open til 6 o' clock so people have time to pay their water bill, have you ever heard of mailing your payment?
I ya,ya,ya ee , hhfffff.
What a bunch of sh.. for brains people.
Last but not least, no I do not belong to Mayor Santillan's political camp. I'm just a citizen
who like to have that extra day, and if possible weekends to contact especially parking and code enforcement. This would bring a lot of revenue to the city considering that most parking and code violations are committed on weekends. ( lawn parking, sidewalk parking, wrong side of street parking, double parking, street vendors, etc.,etc.)Lots of tickets, lots of money for the city. This would take care the saleries for the weekend crew and then some.

Anonymous said...

I couldn't agree with you more. What Santillan and Rodriguez need to do is get rid of all the lazy and overpaid employees.

There are too many chiefs and not enough indians at city hall.

They need to get rid of those high salary positions if they really want to save the city from going bankrupt. Otherwise, hopefull the state or federal government will take over the city. That would be great!!!

Get rid of all those unnecessary positions created the corrupt Enrique Martinez, Paul Richards, and Louis Byrd!!!!

does anybody know if the new city manager has reviewed each an every hire enrique made?

Anonymous said...

I think the idiot posting the comments about the city having code enforcement and parking work on the weekends, must be someone from parking or code enforcement so they can work overtime.

These 2 departments has the greediest employees in them. They are all money hungry. They go around giving out citation, which is good, but they act like its their business. They think the city should pay them 10,000 a month for doing their job.

The majority of these departments have idiots that can't read, write, or work a computer.

You are absolutely correct. You hit it right on the nose. The city manager needs to review all the lazy employees brought in by Enrique Martinez. He should also review the other lazy overpaid employees brought in by paul richards and louis byrd.

Lynwood in struggling to make ends meet. The city of lynwood is no piggy bank for these overpaid employees. I say get rid of them. Then the city can get out the hole its in.

Anonymous said...

Go back to the 5-day work week and see how it works for a one-year period then make the adjustments. This needs to start now or very soon so that the City is on a five-day work week by May/June 2008.

Anonymous said...

9:30pm -3:24

What is your real agenda? No one said for any of the city employees to work nights, and I never claimed to be a great writer. The issue is the 5 day work week and maybe saturday and sunday, stupid. And the fact that code and parking enforcement is getting shot at is an entirely different issue. It seems your agenda is to get some of the emloyees fired. I wonder why, and what is the real reason? You are not really concerned about the 5 day work week. But, as I said before, ignorant people don't see the real picture. And by the way, no one cares anyway what you want. If you need to conduct business, schedule your time around the hours the city hall is open. People do it all the time. And further more if the people don't want to mail in their bills, that's on them. It's a very lame excuse to keep the city hall open 'til 6 for that. Also, you can always pick up a phone and call in graffity and trash problems. How about that, moron. But again, people like you, and the other idiots who want to keep the 4 days don't have sense enough to think and see the benefits of a 5 day work week.
P.S. I'm not a city employee, and as I mentioned above I never claimed to be a great writer, but it's obvious you know exactly what I'm talking about, otherwise you would not be as pi,,ed of as you are. Ta,ta stupid.

You must be a complete moron!!
Don't you know that everything is a process. Do you think things can be changed with a snap of your fingers? don't be an idiot. How can the city of lynwood possibly change to a 5 day schedule in a couple of months. And tell me Einstein, how will the city of lynwood go back to the original schedule if it doesn't work.

The city of lynwood is not a test. If you want to test something, why don't you test my nuts. you idiot. Dont you know its hard for lynwood to change things around. If it was that easy, believe me the current council would've already gotten rid of all the lazy and overpaid employees. Thats the first thing council should do!!!

Anonymous said...

I agree, things take time and can't be done over night, but they can be done. On the other hand, you foul mouth bafoon, stick with the subject which is the 5 day work week and not getting rid of emloyees.

Anonymous said...

To all of you dum dum's that don't know what you're talking about, there is a specific reason why Lynwood is on a 4 day work week and it has nothing to do with lazy people. It has to do with Air Quality. Are you so stupid that you would have Lynwood go back to a five day work week just to make you happy, and at the same time have to pay huge fees on a daily basis? Check your Lynwood history, or better yet, try asking the City Manager or Assistant City Manager why Lynwood, along with about 75% of other cities have gone 4/10. And while you are sitting there feeling stupid, Parking Enforcement and Code Enforcement are 2 different divisions under 2 different departments, AND Code Enforcement does work 7 days a week! If you didn't have to leave Lynwood on the weekends to do your shopping or go to a movie, you just might see them.

Anonymous said...

Please enlighten me, if code enforcement works 7 days a week how come I never see them, never mind geting in contact with them? Messages are never answered.

Anonymous said...

10:05 P.M. MARCH 29

I do know there was a reason for cities changing to a 4/10 work schedule from a 5/8 schedule.

I think what people need to do is tell the bafoon SANTILLAN about this. Santillan is the one pushing the city to go back to a 5-day work week. I'm sure she also has people looking into what the process would be like.

this is the reason she has morons like political cronies working on raising the issue at council meetings.

I think the city of lynwood is finally discovering what Santillan and Rodriguez are all about. I thought they said they would never show favortism of do political favors for anyone. Yet, they just hired miguel figueroa as a laborer to work under Adolfo Medina.

Anonymous said...

The 5-day work week needs to be given the chance to see how it works.

Anonymous said...

To the Moron on 03-31 at 7:43 p.m.

You answered the question in your comment and you are too stupid to even realize it.
4/10 versus 5/8. Air quality standards. You are talking about vehicles being on the road 4 days instead of 5. Did you think about what you were saying or did you just open your mouth and let the crap roll out??

Anonymous said...

Has mayor Santillan become so selfish and spoiled that she would change the 4-10 work week just so that she can have employees doing her bidding on a Friday. She can keep saying that the residents want it, but I know that I still have to rush after work to get to city hall before they close at 6 how are we ever going to make it if the city closes at 5. This new council hasn't come up with any new ideas or any suggestions of their own. Is this the best they can do?

Anonymous said...

4:15 p.m. April 6

Unfortunately, yes.

This new council is just as bad as the old council. We have no good leadership in the city of lynwood. Everyone is extremely selfish and only thinks about themselves.

Council doesn't want to give the regular employees a raise. Despite them being one of the lowest paid employees in the state...if not the country. The only people that ever get a raise are the management employees eventhough they already make alot of money to do nothing!!!!

Santillan and Rodriguez play stupid and pretend that they don't know what the hell is going on. Reality is they know everything that's going on in the city. They are simply selective and give raises to their cronies and friends only. I don't want to mention any names, but we all know who they are.

Anonymous said...

O.K. Moron 4/10 - April 6

One more time, if you don't get it this time, I'm done trying to educate you.
If the vehicles are on the road 4 days a week, they are out 10 hrs. a day. If you consider the 2 extra hrs., they ad up to 8 hrs.
2 x 4 = 8 - get it?
Which is like an other day. Are you with me so far?
So: 4 days at 10 hrs. = 40 hrs.
5 days at 8 hrs. = 40 hrs.
The vehicles are still 40 hrs. on the road. Same emission. Only a idiot thinks the air quality is better if vehicles are on the road only 4 days.
Gee, I hope you get it this time, but I guess it's hard, for a twisted numbscall like you, to catch on to something so simple.

Anonymous said...

What a bunch of complainers these employees can be and are. 5-day work week needs to be given a try. The City needs to be open until 6pm every day. Some employees will be scheduled to go in at 8 am and some at 9am. Some will leave at 5pm and some will at 6pm. Every one works 5days and the City is open until 6pm everyday.

Anonymous said...

Hey numbscall THAT'S NOT EVEN A WORD.

School yourself, you brainless math wizard. Employees DRIVE to work ONE WAY to get there and ONE WAY back, utilizing freeways and major streets. SO, when you multiply the trips, every employee makes 8 trips to work in the 4 day work week, as opposed to 10 trips in a 5 day work week. It is called TRIP REDUCTION, which helps AIR QUALITY. If you like, have someone help you with the big words. After reading your comments about a vehicle on the road 8 or 10 hours, it sounds like you are talking about the city vehicles. I am laughing my a$$ off. This isn't really what you meant was it?

Anonymous said...

7:21

You right, numbscall is not a word.
(You see, you do know something.) It has no meaning, just like what you have to say. Do you actually think when employees are off they stay at home? I DON'T THINK SO.
Trip reduction? don't make me laugh.
They are out one extra day shopping, taking care of business, visiting, going on trips etc.,etc.
Which means ( Einstein ) they are out poluting much, much more then making a trip to work. This was substantiated by Cal Trans after extensive research. Polution is at its highest level because of three day week ends.
I guess you have not been out on freeways and major streets Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays lately.

One more thing, if you would know how to articulate better, then we all would have known what vehicles you were talking about. Either way, the more you talk about this issue, the more you talk yourself into a hole. Give it up, you do not know what you are talking about.
Stupid is, as stupid does! I bet you don't get this either.
VIVA 5 DAY WORK WEEK IN LYNWOOD.

Anonymous said...

Trip reduction has been put together on a different scale and no longer applies to Cities being open only four days. Trip measurs in projects and conjestion management practices has enabled cities to go back and focus on providing service to the community. So, the 5-day work week is now possible.

Anonymous said...

To April 10, 7:39
I can see that logic is not one of your strong points. You jump from a conversation regarding Trip Reduction and work travel to employees and what they do on their time off. I guess you think you are perfect. And by the way, your last sentence which includes the word VIVA, well, I won't be wasting anymore time on you.

Anonymous said...

10:11 - 4-15

Oh my gosh, I can't believe you missed it again.
The issue was: Cutting polution through trip reduction.
Apperantly you are one of the lazy city workers who will say, try and do anything to keep the 4 day work week. No one can ever reason with people like you.
