So what is Rachel going to do now about bringing up the grades. I am tired of my children learning two things every year.
1. Cesar Chavez
2. Marting Luther King Jr.
They are not though anything else but that....

What exactly does the school bord do? I mean I never see them at the schools unless it's a meeting. Who evaluates the teachers? Who evaluates the principals? Same thing every year Low Scores.

Also why do we spend so much money on books if kids don't learn much?????

School board this is your job to make sure that the kids in Lynwood do well. I want the children to do good in everything not just the state exams where it's convinient for you guys.

I am tired of principals driving this expensive vehicules at the expense of our children.
Teachers, principals and every one responsible for the students needs to be evaluated and if they are not doing their job fire them.

Most districts have teacher created curriculum. Only a couple of California Districts bought the Kaplan program. For $8 million, Lynwood was totally ripped off. The board members who approved Kaplan without total buy in by the teachers and Instructional coaches were following the dictates of the Superintendent who wasted the $8 million. Lynwood cannot afford such giant mistakes!

Solache was just trying to pay back Lal and his puppets for all the campaign contributions and the molestor looking board member Espinoza was in on it too.

Recall Lal and his 100 Gs a year contract! the only decent one in the board is Maria Lopez, the rest are too dumb to notice what the fat bastard, island boy and solache do behind closed doors... they are probably more than friends... pinches jotos!

Again who is getting the money the Superintendent and our expense.
Let's get him out too.

I find it rather strange that Lynwood studenta know all about MLK and Cesar Chavez, but cannot name five Allied Generals frim WW II. Out kids cannot think metric, either. How can they compete in the world economy if they cannot think metric, and speak a second or third language ?? How many of our kids know about ANZAC Day, Pearl Harbour, Midway, the Bataan Death March, the Holocaust, D-Day, etc. A complete lack of history, a complete lack of teaching. How many can tell us about the Constitution, or about our Greats, such as JFK, HST, LBJ, TR, etc.? Do any of our students know about the Second Amendment, or the Fourteenth, or even the 21 st Amendment ?? Come on.. get a REAL education...

Superintendent contract is not 100G per year it is $220,000 + contributions to his retirement plans + lifetime medical, + lots of free goodies! For that LUSD gets Kaplan Crookulum wasting millions $$.

I recently became aware of the fact that there is a supplemental program which is available to all elementary students called Knowledge First. It is apparently an internet delivered program that stimulates brain cell growth and allows students to learn using both sides of the brain! The program is accessible during school, after school and at home and ALL students are able to use and benefit from the program, including English Learners and Special Ed students. This is the program that was used at Rosa Parks, Mark Twain and a few other schools (no wonder their scores are always so high!!) There was a rep of the company at the last board meeting and many parents have talked with her afterward. The program is very inexpensive and it is proven to work, so why don't they continue. And they provide the data to show how the students are advancing. We should have all the kids use the program. It seems to make sense- reading, math should be much easier when the brain is using both sides to learn...right?? We need to keep using the programs that work, our kids are being left behind!!!
