Most likely Leticia Vazquez will be upset because no African-American was nominated !!!!!

Vazquez did not mentioned anything about this honorable well deserve event at city council, BUT she did mentioned the sponsored trip to washington of Black Caucus of six students from Lynwood. She's against anaything sponsored for our Latino heritage and excels in promoting Black affairs. It's a shame!!!

Does anyone Know how she vote on the cinco de mayo parade item on today's city council meeting?

at todays meeting bird gave up his position on the library commission and leticia said "i grew up in lynwood, and i want to make this library into two levels.... her and byrd are up to something

Please explain. Why would they be up to something? I don't get it.

You people are MORONS! You managed to turn a positive story about lynwood into a negative....AGAIN!

When are we going to stop pulling each other down. Use the energy in your jealously and envy and use it to contribute to the city!

By no means am I a big Leticia fan, BUT she has been at the forefront of programs and movements supporting LATINA empowerment longer than you have been wasting your time b*tching and complaining about what you dont have and what others do have!

AND so what if she voted against the cinco event. I'm tired of our dollars being spent on special events when we are cutting after school programs. (if you havent reallized it yet, our schools are 95% LATINO and we are cutting their programs while we throw these big parties)

What do YOU do on cinco de mayo? I bet you dont do anything but take the day off and get drunk. OOOO what a proud (and anonymous) LATINO you must be!

FYI...Mrs. Vasquez voted to support the Cinco De Mayo event. She supports all people!!! You should try it sometime, you may be a bit happier with yourself.

Too bad Leticia Vasquez doesn't follow the blog (she' said it over, and over, and over (not that we believe her anyway)). I'm sure she'll (Mrs. Vasquez)(Where did you come up with the Mrs. anyway?) have one hell of a good time reading how popular she is...

All this stuff shows how bitter of a community we are.

Anonymous said...

We are not bitter, its just that we are upset at her priorities. we as a community we are not asking for a piece of a pie. The majority expects more from our "leaders" I THINK WE GOT MORE AS A LATINO COMMUNITY WHEN THE COUNCIL WAS MAJORITY FRICAN=AMERICAN!! THATS UNCALL WE WANT THE WHOLE PIE AND WE CAN SHARE A PIECE OF A PIE, LATINOS ARE KNOWN TO HAVE A GOOD HEART TO SHARE..........EVERYTIME SHE TRIES TO SUPRESS US , IT WILL BACKFIRE ON HER , WHEN ELECIONS CAME UP.

I AGREE WITH ELIZABETH CASTRO ON SAYING THAT IT IS A POSITIVE STORY, but, but , but , but but WHY DOESNT SHE MENTIONED IT OR SUPPORT IT????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT HER?????

For the last two comments above mine:

What are you talking about? What you wrote makes no sense. What grade are you in?

Can you please have your mommy write your thoughts for you next time. Thank you.

I agree with all of the comments about Leticia Vazquez. she has turned on her own people, to people who are just lying backstabbers. Like giving ms. REED all sorts of awards, that she doesn't even deserve. you mean to tell me that out of all of the thosands of women in our city that MS REED is the only women that has done something for our community. Leticia is a joke of a councilwomen.

Shes afraid of Ms. Reed and her people.... I heard from a real teacher at our middle school that she kissed a.s.s of certain administrators, but ignored latino parents and students, that's a shame!!
