The fatty Autra beat the rap. She could come back to City Hall now and re-join the rest of the fattys.

Cuando hijos de la chingada van a correr no desemplear a esta pinche vieja?

I have more faith in some of our council members than to think that Autra will ever work in Lynwood again!

Don't bet on it.

thats right, the city should get rid of all felons and employees with misdemeanors too!
how did martha from H.R. get hers?
speak on it...

so much talkin. they found pics of her with armed gangsters, and she's on PAID LEAVE. wow. chillin with the gangstas and getting PAID. pretty cool deal for her. ererytime there is an issue (tax increases, education scandals(child porn), unqualified employees etc.) 20 other issues arise to make everyone forget the others. To the city council: 1. what about the parents of Lincoln Elementary who heard nothing about what went on with the teacher and the child porn (let me guess, it's the school districts problem; aren't both committees (school district AND city council) expected to work together? after all, your paychecks are quite tasteful. 2. what about the city? safety first huh. yeah, thats why there are streets at night without proper lighting (like the neglected area near Alemeda) and can the streets be touched up a notch, or is that not that important. AND 3. you want to attract businesses (like TARGET, COSTCOO. these businesses will come if the city looks nic, don't you think? hey and why can't the residents of Lynwood get a Ross or Marshalls? all these little store popping up. its cool too help those starting a small business, but don't limit what the residents of Lynwood can have.

When you have people that only care about themselves on the council like big baffoon, lil' baffoon, pitufo, el payaso, and el mamon what else can you expect. It's a live circus in Lynwood tune in!

Here we go again. The council will be voting to increase their salaries again. Way to go "new council." Of course we all know you all are there to get rich. Sillicone needs more money for her plastic surgey, Aide needs more money so her house is not foreclosed as it is scheduled to be at the end of the month, Flores needs money to move out of the garage her lives in, Ramon needs more money to support his drug habit and Morton needs more money to entertain the ladies on Long Beach Blvd. Stop the corruption and say NO to The Utility User Tax!

On Tuesday Aug.5th 2007 Treasurer Sal Alatorre is facing retaliation from some very upset Councilmenbers.
Reason #1- He ask too manny questions, he delays payments on unclear, none itemized, none authorized work orders,he is checking every document that comes to his office for payment.
Dep. Directors are under lots of stress, and running crazy to the Mayor and council members complaining.
Reason #2 Dep. Directors want to return to the Old Way of doing business as usual "No Questions Ask" type of mode and keep our City Moving Forward.

Some Council members maintain that they have the Power to change any thing they like and keep their cronies and campaing supporters happy, all it takes is 3 council menbers to get together talk the same language and is a done deal.

Never in the history of Lynwood or the last two decades any one had the guts to question, stop, delay or refused payment of an unfullfil contract, or incomplete request for payment until Alatorre came to the City Hall.

According to good sources the City Treasurer has faced an up hill battle because some council members express support in public but are looking for ways to strip off the Treasurer's authority to question any thing, so there is not one looking up for the Citizens of Lynwood.
On Tuesday go to the city council meeting meeting and witness the excusses they come up with.

Att, A concerned cityzen

Finally a council member who mirrors the community. We are all in a boat with a hole in it!

Your comments aren't true about Ramon. His only fault is, letting Maria shutting him up. Ramon, do what you promised,.

We need to speak out, but

Stop calling names and act like adults in cleaning up the city.

Go to city council meetings and let the city officials hear our complaints. Tell them about city workers sleeping in their trucks for hours under freeway overpasses, and cleaning their own yards during the work week with city equipment.

Make the time to call the complaint department and make them aware of the conditions of your neighborhood, and dont stop until they clean up the mess.

Go to city hall if necessary and complain loudly when they drag their feet cleaning up dumping and graffiti.

Last of all we need to make issues like that last disaster of wanting a stadium go through the voting process of the city residents.

We have enough disasters in this city costing tax payers money like the unfinished housing project on fernwood and bullis.

How much did that cost the city?

We need a larger special development committee of city business owners, and residents that should be involved in the discussion of business development.

Large Projects should not be left to the whim of just the city council members and need to be required by law to be approved
by the people through the voting process.

Once we throw out corrupt officials, DONT LET THEM BACK.

Lynwood Residents: READ Attentively

Don't you want the city of Lynwood to be "hooked up"? Ask yourselves why don't we get "real" businesses to come into our city? Almost every project or "plaza" popping up has the same mom & pop feel to it, the same mom & pop shops. The person who wrote on July 29 is right!!!! Why can't we have some cool businesses come to our city?
Imagine what a Target would do for the city. Imagine what a Costco would do for it. Imagine if something as simple as the streets (Pavement) could be repaired (I've passed by Alameda, and its awful along MLK Blvd going towards Alameda)
Or Imagine this... What if we could make PLAZA MEXICO look like the Irvine Spectrum or City Walk in Studio City? The PLAZA has so much potential, but why can't the PLAZA house "real" businesses like Ross, Bestbuy, or Kohls? Maybe because the owners don't want to. Maybe the residents of Lynwood don't deserve it. And if that is the case, residents should voice these desires to elected officials.

And while we are on the topic of elected officials... Is it me or doesn't it seem that you have to be in a suit and tie to be heard (and respected) by our elected officials (The CITY COUNCIL and the SCHOOL DISTRICT) I've heard stories of parents going to their child's school and being looked down upon, but when a person is walking around with a suitcase, tie, and/or suit, wow they get the "star" treatment. "Do you need any help" or "how can we assist you sir/mam?" I've even heard some officials say that some of our schools (which means our children) need a military style principal! WHAT!? Thats how bad it is, that the school district, with all their Phd's, can't come up with a better plan other than "strict military style". What did you study in your PhD program, and did the program teach you some sociology to understand the issues faced in urban neighborhoods? Or was that not part of the curriculum. Some elementary schools don't even have a formal LIBRARY, like LINCOLN ELEMENTARY. What message are they sending our kids? Oh, study and do good in school, but a site where reading, a foundation to learning, is reinforced is not "that" important.

And not to mention the fact that many school employees drive "very" nice vehicles (BMW's, Mercedes, LEXUS)to their school that don't have a speck of "GREEN" grass. And what do they say? Oh, well parents should volunteer to clean-up the schools and put grass if they want to. WHAT!!! Aren't there city employees that do that?! Can't teachers pitch in to get someone to plant grass, or is that "TOO" much $. I know it's not too much $ for principals. Or are the kids of Lynwood just not worth it?

And as for the "employees" in our school district (top dogs and teachers alike), LYNWOOD RESIDENTS should require a survey to be conducted asking the employees questions like: Are you just counting down to retirement? Do you consider yourself too be passionate about your work? Are there any changes you would like to see at your school? I've heard that the jungle gym at Lincoln Elementary has been there for over 15 years, and that the gate surrounding the school has been there for more than 20 years! WOW! But, the city built the behemoth junior high school on MLK; couldn't some cash have gone to the little school?
Lynwood is a great place, and it could get better. This blog is cool because we can voice our opinions and ideas, and share them with other concerned residents.

Residents Remember: Tell the "elected officials":
1. What kinds of businesses would improve our city.
2. City Council and School District officials, employees, etc need to work together, not independently, too arrive at ways to improve our schools (including some of our NEGLECTED schools, like Lincoln Elem.) Improve our schools to help our children improve. Some may say that a Library is not that important, but how can a place where students learn the fundamentals not be important?

I LOVE LYNWOOD. It really is a good city, and with proper attention, can be a GREAT city and a model for others.

Lynwood Residents please read this message twice, or thrice, and include your opinions. There are residents who want to hook-up Lynwood, and if we work together we can accomplish great things for future generations to enjoy and be proud of.

We need to clean house and get rid of the corrupted officials we have on the council like Maria Santillan and Ramon Rodriguez! We need to finish cleansing the city!

Why is the fatty city clerk and sal en la torre getting almost 4 thoursand bucks each? for what? siting on their ass all day! the council makes no sense! one day they say: we have no money, we need to raise taxes, the next day, they are giving our money to estos sinvergensas!

To help keep out corrupt individuals out of office we need better background information made public prior to election time such as:

How long Lynwood residence.

Type of work , work experience.

Business locations - Type of business - How long in business.

Education - List of Schools attended.

Associations that this person is a member.

All this and more should be visual and posted in a general election area of city hall and possibly the city library.

Even a general pre-election debate should take place where candidates provide us information on who they are, then answer a series of general questions about how they can help our city.

Anyone not willing to do this should'nt be running for office in our city.

We need elected officials who are long term Lynwood residents, have businesses in Lynwood, and last of all, have the business experience to be a part of running this city.

The baffoon mayor santillan made a fool out of herself fighting with Sal Alatorre last night.

To the "self made" parrot face on the council...We all know you lied abou being a business owner. We all know you just got off werlafe 3years ago. We all know you don't own a business. We all know you are a high school drop out and a loser. We call people like you bottom feeders. What happened your house is being foreclosed? I thought you were a "businesswoman" Can't you keep up with your own mortgage? You are an embarassment to our city. What happened to all of your tricks? Did they finally end?. Well we know you have other tricks up your sleeve. You are very crafty and I'm sure you'll find your way out this one too. Don't forget that we the citizens know your type. We will keep watching and keeping up with all the tricks you have up your sleeve. They will come to an end sometime.

When are are going to say no more to all her mess. She brings more problems to your life than you ever have had. Enough is enough. The problems she brings to your life will never end.

16-year-old boy shot and killed on Lynwood porch
Police say the boy was shot after he resisted a confrontation with a suspected gang member.
By Francisco Vara-Orta, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
8:05 AM PDT, August 8, 2008
A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed as he sat on a porch in Lynwood late Thursday, the second shooting in less than a week of a teenager resisting a confrontation with a suspected gang member, authorities said.

Raymond Frias was visiting a female friend in the 2900 block of Poplar Drive near Bellinger Street around 11:45 p.m. Thursday when a male walked up to him and fired a single shot into his upper body, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Derrick Thompson.

After Frias repeatedly refused to respond to the shooter's question "Where are you from?", the male shot the victim in the back and fled, Thompson said.

Frias was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The female friend was not injured.

No suspects have been arrested, and anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call the Sheriff's Department homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.

On Saturday, another 16-year-old boy was killed under similar circumstances in North Hollywood on Saturday night after failing to respond to a gang challenge, according to Det. Tim Kirkpatrick of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Edward Satterstron, a Sun Valley resident who played football for John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, was struck several times in the chest while walking near the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Roscoe boulevards about 9:15 p.m. Saturday, said Officer Julianne Sohn of the Los Angeles Police Department.

After he was shot, Satterstron walked into a nearby Taco Bell restaurant and collapsed, then was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died, Sohn said.

"There was no response to, 'Where are you from?' which is a typical question all gang members ask people they don't know," Kirkpatrick said. "But (Satterstron) wasn't a gang member."

On Monday, police identified the shooter as David Aranda Hernandez, 18, a Pacoima-area gang member.

Police are asking anyone with information in that case to call detectives at (818) 623-4016.

Autra is a fatty and is part of the fattys club at City Hall. Because of her looks and being fat she has to settle for guys that are younger than her that do not work and that use her for her money. The losers that she is with need somewhere to sleep and someone pay the rent. Sound familiar fattys. Wake up!

Autra is no longer a city employee.

If in fact it is true that autra is no longer a City employee, then the most vile, selfabsorbed, nasty, selfpromoting person, I have known or worked with will go a long way to the cleaning up of City Hall.

Sylvia, get a job so that you can afford all the "public information" you have requested.

With Autra supposedly fired who is left in the fattys club at City Hall?

Attention Councilmembers, you need to remove the following commissioners:

The Calderons (both husband/wife)
Irene Garcia
Sylvia Herron (Rea's mother-in-law)
Alex Landeros
Sylvia Ortiz

They are nothing but problems and only show up to get their $50 bucks!

I 'm glad too see that I'm still the most hated community activist. I love it. Except, some of your facts are a little outdated. My house is considered commercial/residental. Back in the late 70's the city rezoned my house. The store was a mom and pop store which never sold alcohol.I haven't been on AFDC since 1992. And as for my hubby,he's the most kind and gentel man I'd ever known.
The felon thing is true, but old news!!! So what??????

Anonymous said...

To be a felon and say "SO WHAT" is a sad stand to take.
This is proof that you are a very low life character and should not give advise to anybody.
FELON: A person who commited a felony, who is evil, cruel, wicked and a villain.
FELONY: A crime such as murder, rape, or burglary. Punishable by a serious and stringent sentence.
Sylvia, which one of the above was your felony, that you take so lightly?
Remember this is on your record forever. You always will be a FELON, especially if you can say to a FELONY "SO WHAT"
I know this will pi.. you of and you will again show your true character on your reply to this blog. You will do exactly what is expected from a FELON.

Uste es una sinverguenza!

Sylvia is a felon for life and nothing will ever change that. She is always looking to attack people. She should be more worried about her poor state in life. She is just jelous of the current woman on the council. The is the whole problem here. Sylvia you can NEVER be like them so just quit.

nasty

Anonymous said...

Cut it out, I'm not ashamed of my short comings. Because of my mistakes I'm more suited to advise. It is my past that paves my future.I'm more connected to this community because of my past. How about you? Are you some disconnected piece of shit that cares nothing for humanity? I won't brag about how many residents I've helped and supported. My higher authority is keeping score. How about you? Do you point your finger at those less fortunate while two fingers are pointing back at YOU?
Sylvia Ortiz (not anonymous)

HAS ANYONE SEEN AUTRA LATELY?????

Anonymous said...

Is Sylvia part of the fattys club. Does she have a husband or boyfriend that does not work and lives like a rat. Eats there, sleeps there, and has a hole there.

Anonymous said...

I know my comments are a hard act to follow,,,,,,,,,,

Anonymous said...

Sylvia, I agree, people do make mistakes, pay their dues and be sorry for what they have done.
NOT YOU!
You say "SO WHAT" to what ever crime you have commited.
This substantiates all what the citzens are saying about you. You are a FELON and you always will be. You can not be trusted and you will not change.

Anonymous said...

You mean the residents that are going to vote you out of office? And I'm no way jelous of the women council members. You'll never see me posing for pictures looking like a circus act.Everytime I see the council pic in the paper,I crake the hell up. It's a joke!

Anonymous said...

Why are you always saying things about Silvia, Aide, etc ? Got nothing better to discuss ? Tell us about the good things that Council is doing....like cutting the fat out of the budget, and getting rid of useless employees !!

By the way, what is the current status of Autra ?? Is she going to trial or not ? Tnx.

Anonymous said...

To be a felon:
1. You cannot own a firearm or ammo for it. (No more deer hunting for you.)
2. As I understand it, you cannot vote or run for elective office.. pse correct me if I'm wrong on this.
3. If you are on parole, you cannot get a US Passport.

Anonymous said...

I seen your picture in the paper too Silvia... are you also a circus act? or just jealous because nobody takes your picture anymore?

Anonymous said...

Sylvia, give up while you ahead.
In the end you will lose.
That is because you are a loser.
Your Lynwood citizen you feel so conected to, will eat you alive.

Anonymous said...

I don't participate in council pics because I don't wan't to be associated with individuals who continue to rip off the tax payer and abuse the privilages at city hall. Soon I'll be at the door of EVERY resident unveiling all the abuses of the Mayor and council members. The Mayor has been fooling us all.Smiling all the way to the BANK!

Anonymous said...

Sylvia one thing that you will find is that the Mayor didn't abuse and always stayed within her budget.

You are barking up the wrong tree.

Anonymous said...

Yes, she stayed under budget with unpaid loans that I'm sure helps her a lot with her budget.

Anonymous said...

If that unpaid loan existed, I am sure that "guilty" Mr. Reyes would have done something about it.

The good thing about this new council (that includes the Mayor) is that they all work! Mr. Morton is retired and has enough $$$$.

You owe $500,000 on a house that is only worth about $375,000. What an idiot. You just keep digging Jose into a deeper a hole. Poor thing. First you have him taking care of your kids now this!
