Thank God it wasn't my kid this time.Just another unsolved crime in Lynwood. City hall says crime is down in Lynwood. What street are they talking about? I've know of 2 unsolved murders and know of 5 different shooting incidents that occured with in the last three months. My car was stolen last week for the sixth time. The same night 4 other cars were stolen in Lynwood. A resident was killed when he approached the men that were stealing his car from his driveway. He was shot dead and when his son came out to help his father,he was also shot. The son lived only to suffer the memory of his fathers unsolved murder. You tell me if crime is down,I'm sure the victoms family could give stats on the crime in Lynwood.

What do you expect, it's Lynwood.
Gangs, drug dealers, shootings, prostitutes, graffity, filthy streets, too many people living in garages, the city is over-crowded with ignorant people, traffic problems, parking problems, and on and on, and sh/t is being done about it. So, why not have a shooting at the high school. This is just one more thing that was missing in Lynwood.
People of Lynwood do you realize that things are out of control and your city leaders don't have a clue how to handle it. You have'nt seen nothing yet.
Once again, not enough revenue to hire more cops to make the city save. The opportunity was lost when residents voted against the stadium which would have brought enough revenue to solve all these problems, and then some. This is what happens when people don't see the big picture.

The Mayor lives in a bubble. She has NOT earned the right to be re elected.Under her watch, this city is crumbling daily.Maybe if council would GIVE UP the discretionary dollars, we could afford another police officer. Or if council was restricted to only ONE travel expence a year. That is what most cities do. We are the only city which the Mayor uses tax dollars to visit thier family in Talpa Mexico annually for six years.Save your money election time is just around the corner and WE must eject the Mayor out of office. I'll be doing my part,,,,

The Nation is crumbling daily, don't blame the Mayor. BLAME BUSH!

I might not agree with everything she does, but this Mayor has done more than many others.

I have a job, and get paid very well. But, the political connections I've made are worth more than gold!I'm getting MY ducks in a row and soon I'll be more effective than I was during the last recall.I just keep informing the community and gaining the trust of the residents.

Yeah the mayor has spent thousands of taxpayer money on her plastic surgeries, her new house and continuing the graft and corruption of the Paul Richards era. She put her family and freinds on the city payroll and has done nothing for the people of Lynwood. Sounds like the same ole same from the other Lynwood Mayors for the past 23 years.

This mayor is not all to blame of course, but she is not showing strong enough leadership.

Our streets are dirty, dogs run loose on every street in Lynwood.

Trash and weeds are everywhere on empty lots and in our streets.

The city officials drive to work with their eyes closed and wait for residents to call repeatedly for dumping to be picked up, lots to be cleaned, and vacated cars to be moved.

Our kids risk their lives going to and from school.

We have become a city of low income people who create their own rules because the city drags there feet in enforcement of codes.

It does not feel good to see Home Depot and Target opening stores in Paramount, and we get another bakery or thrift shop.

We need people in place that take pride in being in Lynwood and work towards bringing business to the city.

This is absurd!!!!! Gangs are a big problem but now the planning commision under the direction (behind) Ramon Ramirez is allowing a trucking company on Alameda blvd and king. blvd. and operated by no other than drug infected EL Farallon owner EMILIO!!! The city is permitting trucks to operate ALL night long so that they can continue to distribute drugs that contribute to the shootings and killings in our city.
Now Ramon is receiving a BIG $$$$$$ incentive for his campaign with rumors that the mayor will take a cut..... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WITH DEALS LIKE THIS ....WE WILL CONTINUE WITH SHOOTINGS AND KILLINGS!!!!!!! FBI COME ON DOWN!!!!!

The Mayor IS guilty of voting to raise our water for six years in a row. She also has voted for the trash increases. She just gave an award to the city manager for being Black??????So, I can guess who will be donating to her campaign. Consolidated, our city attorneys(if they want to keep thier jobs),Roger Haley,The Patels and all the other businesses she begged for money in 2005 election.More power manipulation again. She is corrupt as can be.She so desperate that she's kissing Castro ass all day long. How pathetic!!!

Sylvia, "you have a job and get paid very well"....

Have you filed your taxes?

How can I find out if this is really Sylvia Ortiz and not someone else signing for her?

Of course I pay my taxes, how could I sustain my property,my family and my leadership.I must lead by example.See, I don't live beyond my means.I don't do credit,I don't hawk my house, and I don't sell out.I am as true to myself as one could be.I don't own a phoney bone in my body.I don't kiss ass,I kick it!!!!I'm no puppet or follower.I sing and dance to my own tune.
Note:I always sign my name, that's how you know it's me.

dont waste your time in trying to inform Woods especially not Alfredo. Let me fill you in on a little secret. Those two are very very intimate. So now you know why Woods is no longer in HR. He caught them several times. Poor guy just knew to much dirt on the filthy personnel. Way to go Lynwood
